Customers may request vehicle transportation between Georgia and destinations nationwide. Whether you are relocating, purchasing a vehicle from out of state, or sending a car to a family member, Auto Movers Choice coordinates the shipment details and communication throughout the process.
Auto Movers Choice coordinates each shipment based on the specific route, vehicle, timing, access requirements, and available transport options. Actual availability, scheduling, and pricing depend on the shipment details and conditions at the time of booking.
Pickup and delivery access requirements vary by location. Contact our team to discuss the details of your specific Georgia shipment, including any gated, restricted, or limited-access pickup or delivery location.
Share your pickup and delivery locations, vehicle details, and preferred timeframe. We will provide a personalized quote based on your specific route and vehicle.
Review the details, ask any questions, and confirm your shipment. We will work to match your vehicle with a carrier suited to your route and schedule.
Remove personal items beyond what is permitted, document your vehicle's condition with photos, confirm the fuel level, and ensure someone is available at pickup and delivery.
A carrier will contact you before pickup to coordinate timing. Your vehicle is loaded and transported to the destination. You will receive updates along the way.
At delivery, inspect your vehicle carefully before signing the Bill of Lading. Note any new damage in writing on the form before the carrier departs.
Pickup and delivery access requirements vary by location. Large transport trucks need adequate space and safe legal access, so some addresses may require an alternate nearby meeting point.
If your pickup or delivery address has any access limitations — including narrow lanes, overhead restrictions, gated entry, or weight-restricted roads — let us know when you request your quote. Early communication helps avoid delays.
Open carriers are the most common method for vehicle transport. Your vehicle is loaded onto an open multi-car trailer alongside other vehicles. This option is widely available and generally more cost-effective for standard cars, trucks, and SUVs.
Enclosed carriers provide a covered trailer that shields your vehicle from weather and road debris during transit. This option is often chosen for classic cars, luxury vehicles, low-clearance sports cars, and vehicles with high sentimental or monetary value.
The right choice depends on your vehicle, your budget, and your priorities. Our team can explain the differences and help you decide which option fits your shipment.
Before pickup, photograph your vehicle from all angles in good lighting. Note any existing scratches, dents, or damage. This documentation protects you if a dispute arises at delivery.
Accurately report whether your vehicle can roll, brake, and steer under its own power. Inoperable vehicles require special loading equipment, and not every carrier has the same equipment. Disclosing this upfront ensures the right carrier is assigned and avoids delays at pickup.
Carriers generally allow securely placed personal items up to approximately 100 pounds in the trunk or cargo area, but requirements vary by carrier. Confirm the specific allowance for your shipment when booking. Do not assume personal items are insured. Confirm the requirements for your specific shipment, and do not leave valuables, electronics, or irreplaceable items in the vehicle.
Customers are commonly asked to keep the fuel tank at around one-quarter full for transport. Confirm the exact requirement with our team when finalizing your shipment details.
Remove toll transponders, parking passes, and any loose items from the interior and exterior. Retract or remove any custom antennas, spoilers, or accessories that could be damaged or cause clearance issues during loading.
Disable any aftermarket alarms that could trigger during transport. Confirm that the battery is charged and that the vehicle is in a condition that allows it to be driven onto and off the carrier.
Vehicle shipping costs are not fixed. Many variables interact to determine the final price for your specific shipment. Understanding these factors helps set realistic expectations when comparing quotes.

Request your quote as soon as you know your route, vehicle details, and preferred timing. More flexibility with pickup and delivery timing can make coordination easier, while actual availability depends on the shipment details and conditions at that time.
Yes, in many cases. Inoperable vehicles require special loading equipment, and not every carrier has the same equipment available. Disclose the vehicle's operability status accurately when requesting your quote so we can identify a carrier equipped to handle it.
Narrow streets, gated communities, low-clearance bridges, and private roads can prevent a full-size carrier from reaching your address. In those situations, you may need to meet the driver at a nearby accessible location. Let us know about any access restrictions when booking.

Inspect your vehicle carefully before signing the Bill of Lading. Compare its condition to the photos and notes from pickup. If you notice any new damage, document it in writing on the Bill of Lading before the carrier departs. Signing without noting damage may limit your ability to file a claim.
